Back at 1140. ♂402 rel/Opink seen up at the top of the clearing. 1225 giving up 31 Mar First attempt at trying to experimentally initiate territory defense. I took the recently-caught Blom-One ♂, and- caged him, and hoisted him about 7 feet above ground in the School Hill granary, starting at 1255. At 1320, of the VO. ♂86 finally arrived, landing in the top branches adjacent to the granary. 1321, moves into granary 10 meters from caged ♂ 1327, flies to VO perch, 1328, leaves. End 1345 Response pretty much restricted to sidelong glances at the cage. My playing the tape seemed to do nothing at alla 6 April 0700, as I arrive, one bird was peering out of the traditional nest hole, another was at the entrance. Could it be?
