Checking holes, then splitting. 7 April Trying again, 1145. Nobody here as F arrive. 1205, f q Yel-Dgreen/Yellow briefly in sycamore, plus a m north side of road, Valley Oak. 1245 giving up, not a good day to watch here. 1300 back at it down by the nest holes. 2 Swifts high overhead. f 383 and m 486 DBlue-or/whit-or metal/DBlue-Orange here. 1315, f 383 flycatches (F) 1220, leaving for good, after checking holes. Whoa, f 269 DBlue-wht(N)/white up on PO ridge, top of live oak 9 April Start watch from PO hill 0930. f 269 purchases Stellers Juy. 0945. m 486 metal also here. They eat acorns, f 383 Yellow-Dgreen/metal Flycatches (F x 3). Definitely 2-3m here and I believe I saw m 294 pink/Dblue-yellow. m 486 flies with + follows f 383 twice Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary. Spent some time up around Valhalla. Definitely no nest yet, as I had all 4 birds in sight most of the time. 14 April Start watch from PO Hill 1500, Light bad. 1600, Accomplishing nothing, giving up. 15 April Start from hide 1330. f 383. m 294, m 486 all here. brieifly. 14th Nobody else, End. 16 April start 0845. m 486, f 269 + f 383 together in top or next sycamore f 383 flies to a 4th bird (m 294?), waits. 0900. 3 crows in granary hotly harried and "buzzed" by m 294. a f 383(?) did some (but very little) chasing. m 486 was nearby, did nothing.
