25 Jan Trying again at 0900 with far fewer hoofed ungulates.
- 0925 ♂ 479 arrives chasing banded ♂ nuthatch
♂ 479 Dblue/Dblue-Yell(N). 0950 ♀ 496 mauve/Lgreen here briefly. 0955 Starling chased out of granary by unknown bird.
Red-white/Red
1005, ♀ 494 briefly in granary. 1030, ♀(?)
- chases nuthatch, 1045, ♀496 chases Titmouse. 1155 ♂♂ seen these 3 birds many times now so it looks indeed bad for ♀ 478 and ♀ 495. If they are gone for sure that will put an end to our best laid manipulation plans. End 1200.
13 March Trying again at 1515 this time sitting down by the pond in the open. 1600 a ♀ (didn't see bands) chases

groundsquirrel from granary. 1645 after walking around ♂ 479 found top of the valley oak in the Ravine behind Blom-one (towards Hastings).
On the knoll, ♀ 494 white-Red/ End watch 1715.
2 birds in granary at arrival. No foraging. 1 Granary defense. No Intraspecific intruders. 120 min (2 hrs).
14 March Once more 1350 Nobody in granary on arrival ♂+♀ nuthatch in granary eat acorns not chased (Nobody home)

1440 ♀ 496 here along with a second unidentified ♀. 1600, ♀ 494 white-Red/metal A ♂ also around ♂ 479 Dblue/Dblue-yellow(N). I saw 4 birds at roosting last (acorns) night who was # 4? ♀ 496 noted foraging no granary defense
