1980 Ronald L. Munne Melanerpes formicivorus 1 1800 Hastings Reservation 25 Jan Start 1550. 2 birds in granary VO, one appears to be ♀ 193 DPink/metal. Second bird, can't tell. Incidentally, the supplemental granary tree between 1500 + 1800 seems to be the undisputed property of 1500 birds. 1600 Three birds ♀193, ♂347 LPink-DBlue/LPink Finally, ♂476 Black/LGreen Everybody here. 30 Mar Start watch 1100. Three birds here and it looks like the complete group. ♂347 and ♂476 plus a ♀ which I haven't gotten a good look at yet. 1215 all 3 → birds dive on a ground squirrel. 1230, confirm ♀193 DPink/metal. These guys may have a nest !! Lots of in and out of the granary hole, ♀193 taking a particularly long bout. Certainly worth checking! Nonest checked with Walt 6 April Passing by at 1430, 2 birds (at least) in granary as I arrive, a ♀ + ♂347 metal/LPink-DBlue 21 April A bird in the granary hole (last year's nest) on a rainy, nasty day. I don't know if that reflects a nest or the apalling weather. LPink-DBlue/LPink 29 April Start watch 1345. ♂347 in the other granary, once property of 1500! Back in granary he flycatches (♀). Also ♀193 DPink metal in granary. Now ♂476 Black/LGreen completes the group. He also (♀)flycatches 1 May Roosting here. I couldn't see anything about the bands of the bird that roosted in the nest, suggesting ♂476. 13 June Skiddo Cruise by here around noon. Ad ♀, and at least
