1980 R.L. Murre 3 Melanerpes formicivorus 1500 (5Dec) made in two trips. 26 sec. 28 sec total for two. Sar 493 store a nice BO acorn. 1245, 435 is conspicuously absent. Everyone else (497, 492, 493, 622, 63) seen repeatedly as well. Could she have been the bird walter found the remains of a few weeks ago? All the are really working stores, eating acorns, etc, but 623 almost entirely flycatching. Seems to be quite a few bugs around despite coolness. Rain perhaps initiated a bug emergence (termites, perhaps?) End- 1315, no sign of 435. 19Dec Census, 435 is here (see 1800 notes, entered there by mistake Juvenile dominance, too.
