Hanging around the woods above the granary. 1045, must be homecoming. Definitely ♂493 LBlue/M ♂297 (DBlue Lws) ♀435 metal/yellow-white J622 /Black/Or-Black/ Yellow-Bk/ " Red: yellow J623 plus a bird (adult♂?) that may have been ♂492 Orange-Black Not positive. Also an extremely tenacious suggestion that J622 > J623. Former was being fed by ♀435 (sap or insects excavated from Blue Oak (!): will check) for a 10-q period of time, and though J623 was near, he never came over to try to get in on the action. Birds harvesting acorns in woods above granary (Live Oaks? crossed out or some Blues), and also along creek or Road, 1145, Yesiree, no doubt! ♂492 Orange/Black is Back! How about that! End noon. 5 Sept Trying again 0945, looking for juv. dominance. Saw 5 birds flycatching here from the upper Blue Oaks yesterday afternoon. crossed out ♂493 LBlue/Metal here. 0950, Big ♀ Cooper's Hawk flies into Blue Oak, ♂493 splits, kackitting. 1010, ♀435 Red/yellow Yellow Black/Yellow white and J622 Red/yellow all here. 1045 Bingo ♀435 flycatches, both juvs fly to crossed out Bk/Or-Bk her, J622 pecks hard at J622 Red Yellow several times to heal, then ♀435 pecks at crossed out J622.
