Hastings Reservation, Monterey County, CA
17 July While watching woodpeckers at Road 3, I saw five chickadees, the first I've seen in all my time at the reservation. They were foraging in a flock adjacent to the road, and while I watched them (around 1800 hrs) they foraged in a low, shrubby Quercus chrysolepis.
21 Aug Two were seen briefly near Finch Creek while watching woodpeckers at Road 1.
