(18 May) Looking almost like they were billing 0818, more dominance
♂473 + ♀494 together in VO along Coopers Hawk canyon, ♀496
on top of 2° tree, ♀494 flew to ♀496, watches then pecking,
2 more good follows of ♀494 by ♂473
0850, more good hole action! A ♂ in for a long time,
both♀♀come to nest, lookin. It looks good! 0855,♀496
in briefly. Very good indeed! Walter's refurbishing job
may have done the trick. Going to check the hole.
Oops,♂521 at hole briefly! Everybody knows where it is!
0930, checked hole, no eggs, but lots of wet sawdust.
I'll go up and replace it with dry stuff soon.
1600, I do, and move blind over. ♀496 enters hole
and stays in for a good bit. Looks good!
19 May Start 1430 ♂473 +♀(294?) in top of Plaque tree.
Earlier I saw a lot of in + out action at the nest hole
(Coopers Hawk whizzes past at 1435. Earlier, while
watching from the cabin, I can a riffy copulation.
D*K Things pretty dull now! 1520, more dominance between♀♀.
Both together on lower limb of nest tree, ♂♂ nearby, ♀494
jabs at head of♀496, and the latter chatters. ♂521
had taken a couple of quick looks at the nest hole.
20 May Start from Adobe 1030. Walter had a poor AM here watching
the nest (Birds freaked by a person in the hide?) However, a
bird looking out who-I get here. Quick moment (top?), not seen well,
in top of Plaque tree, ♂473, ♀496. ♂473 then flies to,
take a look at nest hole.♀494, however, continues to wait
on the top stub hole at the 2° tree. Both♀♀in briefly,
♂473 looks in,
