Murme 2 Melanerpes formicivorus Buckeye (9 June) suggested was ♀483 Red -/- . 1115, moved hide over for a better view of the granary. ♀483 is here, but no "extra" ♀♀. 11 June Starting watch at granary at 0900. A quick look at a ♀, a few ♂, and the usual ♂♂ is all I get for 4 hrs. Plus some badred orioles for Pam. End 1300. 20 June Roosting, but I'm not sure who roosted. 22 June Roosting 23 June Another Blown roosting, is the bird that was in as I arrived stayed in. Don't think it was ♂424, Low connector 25 June "Low connector" Roosts again who's he? (28June) According to Glen, he is ♂252 so I guess he roosted on 23 June + 25 June He also may have roosted alone on 22 June as I got a glimpse of something that looked like a metal bung 1 July Roosting, "Low connector" in as ● I get there, stayed in. Presume ♂252, 6 July Roosting and I believe (surprise) that it was ♂424! 8 July A bird already in as I arrive, no connecting lines at all. very delicate, ♀-like head ♂424? Yes. 9 July Roosting. ♂252 (or low connector, anyway) in as I arrived, but he left, and ♂424 roosted 13 July Roosting. Low connector ♂252 in as I arrive. Stayed. 8 Sept Start watch 0830. ♂234 " / " shows up immediately, chases a Nuthatch from the granary. These guys still have lots of acorns lying around.
