Watched a bit at Rd 3, weighed some acorns, etc. Small party at the Griffins with the Pattons + Joanne Daly. 14 Nov Good watch at Rd 1, then some acorn weighing, then bedlam as the mammalogy class with Kurt + Judy et al. Steve Sherwood + I played some banjer' + mandolin + guitar. Dinner with the mammalogy class, lots of carousing, etc. 15 Nov Little works. A touch of germs in the morning a walk up to the Madrone canyon camp (complete with outrageous biker magazine), basic[illegible] partying, etc. 16 Nov Mammalogy class leaves today, 17 Nov Watched well at Rd 3, Rd 1. Frank arrives late 18-19 Nov Frank here, grant rewrite 20-25 Nov Berkeley, Emlen seminar, Paris ecolumch, German test, Doc Watson, etc. 26 Nov Return to Hastings, cabin fouled with woodrat garbage. Roadrunner Cleanup, Laurie arrives late for Thanksgiving weekend 27 Nov Walk up SHill, Thanksgiving dinner at the Griffins, 28 Nov P. lobos, Andrea Molera Beach. Dinner at Red House 29 Nov Walk up to the Arnold, with some interesting Hermit Thrush behavior at the Arnold Spring (see sp. art.) "Casablanca" at the Hardy's 30 Nov Laurie leaves in the AM.
