1980 R.L.Mumme 26 Journal Hastings Reservation 9 Sept watched poorly at Road 3, well at the Gate groups. That's it? Reading, swimming, etc. 10 Sept Spent the AM fooling around watching a revolution "near Arnold 3". Swimming, reading, wrote a letter to Paul, blah, blah. 11 Sept Watched at CA2 well, poorly at UA2 & A1. Walker returned from trip back east last night. A grim roosting at SHill. Bugs, once again, Dessert at Red House 12 Sept Read, sorted a few bugs, administration stuff, quicks trip to the swimming hole, sunbathing. A very low-key day. 13 Sept Fairly successful watching at "Y" (School Hill birds) and Gazebo. Cold, foggy & windy. 14 Sept Spent the whole day in the cabin, reading, writing letters, etc. Did sort & weigh bugs. 15 Sept Watched with moderate success at Low Hay r Hay Blom. Reading, etc. 16 Sept Spent the entire day with Krobst & Davies. 17 Sept Watched with pretty good luck at Rd 1, Finch & Rd 3. Then went up to the Arnold to set out the Black Oak & Golden Oak acorn traps there, picked up the bugs, watched roosting at Lambert. Cool & Cloudy 18 Sept Read, collected bugs. That's all? (Cool & cloudy, Roosting Shill) 19 Sept Read, patched up (or tried to patch up) the "killer mothhole" at School Hill. Clear, finally but cool! 20 Sept Read, talked computer with Walter, watched at 1800 21 Sept Read, bugs, prepped for Berkeley. Watched a little at Plaque
