Nest watches, night banding on Twain. 18 July Dave drops me off at Lund Bridge, I struggle 1\frac{1}{2} miles to car with all my gear. Begin return. Stop at Tioga Meadow (Paul still not there), then Yosemite Valley. Beautiful, but crowded. Acorn Woodpecker + ? Oriole in El Capitan meadow, and a large Falcon (Peregrine?) flying over the face of El cap. Return to Hastings at 1930. Court in meetings? 22 July Watched at Finch and Road 3, scoated the creek for a swimming hole (trying out a few spots), then built one 100yds down from the gate in the pm. Roosting at Blom 2. called Nancy. 23 July Watched at Road 3, and checked the nest hole there. Worked sometime on the swimminghole, helped Walter set an ambush at Warp 5, Sandy's last day here. Forgot about the ultra-successful ambush at Gate, capturing 2 NB σᵤ 24 July Another successful ambush, nailing 4 birds at Warp 5.
