1980 R.L. Mumme 18 Journal Hastings Reservation 13 June nest at Road 3. Movie in town, "A Tale of Two Cities" A Friday the 13th, and survived. 14 June A good "juvenile watch" at Road 1, a nest check of Road 3, Plaque, School Hill, helped Walter setup a mist net at Westgate, a look around ARF 2, Roosting at CA2 15 June A nest + group watch at Road 3, then I made a cake for Nancy's going away party, then a nest check at Road 3. A trip to the Safeway at Mid Valley, then return via Cachagua with Nancy. It pleasant trip. Then a short run, and Nancy's going away party at Red House, complete with Mumms champagne, and decadent desserts. A sad occasion, nonetheless 16 June Watched at 1800 early, getting a complete census in before Frank arrived at 10am. Craftsman-ship, and nest checks at Plaque, Road 3, and School Hill followed. Dinner up at Red House on Nancy's last day here. 17 June Nancy left this morning! Sob! She will be sorely missed. A photo session opened the day, then grunt shit the rest of the day. Frank took Pam, Walt + I out to dinner at Wills, which was very pleasant 18 June A truly shitty day. A worthless watch at Hay-Bloom, a stolen 1/2 ladder (left briefly at Westgate), plus Psychodrama! Best to forget about it. The only saving feature was that we banded #600 & #601 at Gate. Yeah! 19 June A little better today. Mediocre watches at Guzebo or Bloom One, a good nest check at School Hill, and a very good juvenile watch at 1800. Non-roosting at School Hill, dessert at the Hardys.
