21 May Raided up another egg at School Hill (#4), watched a little at Plaque, a nest watch at School Hill, and roosting there. Very foggy in the morning, cold, cloudy + blustery in the evening.
22 May Watched at Plaque early. No egg yet, but it continues to look certain + soon. Routine nest watch at Road 1, another egg at School Hill. A really shitty day, weatherwise. Very windy, blustery, and cold.
23 May Another momentous day, as Plaque lays eggs, and tosses them both out!! Fantastic! See copious Plaque notes That pretty well took care of the whole day,
24 May Both QR lay at Plaque today, no egg tossing. Laurie Drinkwater arrived today, and we went up to School Hill so I could check the nest there. Nancy + Gene return from Berkeley, a fun dinner in the Buckhouse, and a nice fireside talk with Laurie at the cabin.
25 May Only Q494 lays at Plaque today. Desperate for something else to do, Laurie + I walk halfway up to the Arnold, poking around ARF for awhile. Also helped Pam move ladders around, and banded babies at Road 1 (last trip up to that nest for this year).
26 May Both QR lay at Plaque, though Q49b late. After getting up to egg #5, Laurie + I go for a picnic lunch on Red Hill, she leaves afterwards.
Fooled around in the afternoon at Plaque, not accomplishing much
Going away dinner (Pot luck) for Lois + Betty at the School House!
27 May One more egg at Plaque, probably laid by Q494
