Things to do 1 Time budgets of birds while nest is in progress. Choose a group where some birds doing a lot, others (of same status) doing very little. Also choose groups easy to watch (Road 1). Do birds that feed a lot fly more, forage more, spend less time loufing, etc? Do it simultaneously while a second observer does the other bird, or do the budgets in short bouts, so as to reduce time of day effects.
