"Interesting idea"
During acorn shortages in winter,
Dom (breeder) should show no
preference on who he excludes, except birds
from outside territory (i.e. he should allow
his offspring access over others, but he
should have prime access.)
An old (dom?) raised on,
territory over
all but breeder, SHOULD preferential
exclude from granaries during
when acorn supplies limiting. Younger
sibs should be allowed in [or] even
unrelated subs) as long as there are
enough acorns for dom breeders,
himself, but only a couple more.
Problems: Need correct demographic
group, "proper" food shortage.
Perhaps this is one reason earlier,
exclusion from granaries. This effect
would not happen in SJ, though, and argum
circular
IMP. Questions. How much more often
do breed in natal territories then ?
is difference as clear as in SJ,
is or / mortality difference at
adult-on-territory stage or young-bird-dispersing
stage. Not likely due to nesting, as
duties fairly well split up between sexes.
