Together at least 8 min. 1120, ♀260 flies to Valley Oak at base (North) end of field, near * blue oak roost tree, not followed by ♂♂. 1129, returns to where ♂♂ were. 1448: Roasting, 3 birds in a tight "pack" zip past ⬅ again at 1450: 3 Sept 0655, School Hill B°, All 3 birds in granary. 0704, ♀260 flies off, followed first by ♂86, then ♂402: All Return, start working acorns. ♂♂ approach to within a few inches. 0709: ♂86 * flies east down hill, followed by ♂402. ♀260 left alone in granary. 0711, ♀ follows ♂♂. 0720, ♂ kestrel harasses woodpeckers. All 3 birds back in granary. [illegible] 0809, All 3 birds in main granary, upper branches. 0820, ⬅ kestrel harasses birds. 0820, ♂402 flies to nest tree: To hole at 0823. Enters hole at 0824. 0827, looking out, 0829 Returns to granary + other birds. 0831, ♀260 flies off, followed first by ♂402, then ♂86. 0835, All back in main granary 0856, ♀260 enters nest, 8 seconds, flies out. 0909, ♀260 joins ♂♂ in granary, wakas. ♂402 flies to, enters nest. 0913, * ♂86 flies off to east, followed by ♀260. wakas. 0915, ♂ 402 leaves nest, flies to main granary (alone). 0916, ⬅ ♂402 * joins ♂86 and ♀260 in Blue Oaks to east. 0925 check nest, still 4 eggs, 3 intact. 4 Sept Flashback city! a nest watch here around midday. details on back. Birds still travelling in pack. When ♀260 left the nest after her incubation bout, both ♂♂ immediately flew to the tree she went to.
