FLORIDA, Pasco Co., 4 mi. E. of Zephyrhills.
Upper Hillsborough River FDA, with Many Lopez
Found a bluebird nest with one well-feathered
young. Cavity was in a 4-inch thick stump of a
Pinus palustris. The stump was about 5 ft high,
th e nest cavity about 4 ft above ground. Bark on
stump. Stump very decayed, weak, cavity with cracks,
some areas covered by bark only. In open pine flatwoods,
cleared of most longleaf pines. Some Scrubby oaks.
Adults fed in denser flatwoods [illegible] nearby.
