Parts, Year 2012 Journal Boqueron, Maria Mitgullu, Chasing Mexico (cont.) June 25 ... drove down town on trail to Cerro Boqueron where I had found a Electrophorus and searched for ~45min, plus 15 min on the way. Jorge + DJ each got a J. sagdum; I heard many calling + saw lots of tadpoles in the stream. Went back and picked all our animals- took until 03:00. Night was clear and fairly cool. June 26 Tried to sample a lower elevation area today. Our guide took us on a road N out of Boqueron, then we walked through corn fields along the N side of Cerro Boqueron. Finally arrived at some forest around 2100m elev. and searched from 12:30- 13:30. Forest was in pretty good shape; broadleaf trees with a thick understory along a stream. Jorge got 2 Craugastor while Diana, the guide, and I found nothing. I felt a little sick and searching seemed unproductive so we decided to go back; it rained lightly on the way back. Picked our remaining specimens in afternoon in front of an audience of most of the town, who were very interested in everything we did. They were more curious + less repulsed by the specimen preparation than anywhere else I've been; it made it a little hard to prep but the reception was a welcome change from some of our other experiences. Diana + DJ felt somewhat sick and we wanted to pack tonight to get an early start, so we decided not to go out to search tonight
