SMR1805 - Bradypus sp. (silva)
Head dark grey w/ small grey flecks from anterior to parotid
region. Dorsum has a medium brown wide band down middle w/
specks of lighter brown and grey. Surface of tail reddish brown
w/ numerous thin + few grey flecks. Sides of body dark grey mottled
w/ specks of light grey. Sides of tail - dark grey background, upper
half reddish brown + same as dorsal surface of tail. Lower half
same as sides of body but w/ more extensive mottling of grey w/
a little brown. Venter dark grey, mottled w/ light grey specks
along anterior 1/3. An indistinct band of light gray composed of small
specks runs from insertion of forelimbs to vent. Ventral surface of
tail same background color w/ more extensive grey mottling, especially
around root. Axillar region dark grey background w/ many light grey
spots. Upper surface of limbs same background color as dorsum, brown
brown near insertion w/ body. Feet have tiny grey spots. Underside of
limbs same as venter - d. grey big. w/ lots of l. grey specks. Underside of
feet dark grey-brown.
