Pinto, Sean 2011 Journal Nicolás Duchite, Depto. Jutupa, Guatemala (cont.) Aug. 26 ... gland in any of the adults; not sure what the description says, but maybe this species doesn't have one. Not back to Cristales point at ~21:50, when we stopped searching, I put the snake in my backpack (in a snake bag, of course) and very carefully walked down slippery trail to camp. It was cloudy most of the day + misty from afternoon onwards. We then went to the same cattle pond just south of our camp, which had become a big lagoon filling nearly the entire field after the heavy rain last night and the shorter, lighter rain that fell after breakfast. Heard lots of Eleutherodactylus calling (collected 4, including an amplexed pair that laid eggs in the bog, even more Dicnax stufferi (collected 2), and saw lots of frog frogs (collected 2). Also collected a Bufo (?) w/ an injured left leg + paratoid gland; but heard no Bufo calling. Ricardo searched w/me all day and Josias joined us at the frog pond.
