Peinto, Dean 2011 Journal Aug. 11 Corvo San Mil, Dept. Chagual, Guatemala (cont.) ...clt is an adult female and only the second known individual of the species - a great find. The habitat where it was found (~1150m elevation) still in the transitional cloud forest, and is distinctly different from the lower elevation area where the biological station is; cl suspect it only lives on the upper parts of Corvo San Mil. In the same area, cl got a B. reflexus & Carlos got a B. deflexi, both ~ 1.5m off ground or sky. We walked slowly to the edge of the forest and spoke rapidly afterwards; cl slowed briefly to search in small/fest patches below Daravila. Clt wasn't raining by the time we got the Mitchell but more rain did fall briefly later on. Fons wanted to get back so I didn't spend much time searching, but Carlos got a C. laticeps and a Gaegaster we don't have yet, while cl got a Ithacalectus repicandus on the trunk of a big tree. We got back to the truck by about 21:40, totally exhausted, and made it back to the station by [illegible] 22:00. A good day but extremely tiring. Aug. 12 Estación Biológica Chandler Robbins, Corvo San Mil, Calzavera, Dept. Chagual, Guatemala I spent morning + most of afternoon prepping. Went out after dinner & searched from 20:00-21:30 on path up to & above waterfall. Likely got a B. deflexi on a leaf + an Andria capita; Carlos got a big Gaegaster laticeps, and cl got an elmantoderon enchora + a jun. A. capita started raining hard at 22:00 and continued until 23:20. Everyone else went to bed while cl searched on the path above the field station. Cl got a B. reflexus on a leaf, a different species of Andria from the oo we already have, a jun. Bufa walkieup, and a Gaegaster chas that was calling. Searched 23:35-00:35.
