Fortin de las Flores, Veracruz, Mexico (cont)
...las Flores; found 2 Iguana (colored) both under palm fronds. A very heavy rain fell in the afternoon and it continued to rain moderately until ~22:00. I searched with a light in town beginning at 20:15 and found 1 B. platydactyla crawling on a wall and 1 on a leaf next to the wall about 1 block W of the train station. Walked out to Fortin Nigz and found an Eleutherodactylus on a wall along the road. Stopped searching at 21:30.

Finca Luena Alemanica, N of Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico
I spent 2 days driving to the Chinalapas and getting permission to work in Matias Romero, Santa Maria + San Miguel Chinolapa. Arrived in Tapachula around 12:00 and met up with Antonio Muiioz. We drove to Finca Luena Alemanica and searched for ~1hr in wood piles + under logs in cafetales. Found lots of Bufo (~8), Eleutherodactylus rubrinascatus, Craugastor rhodopis, Sphaeomorphus asstutus (saw 4?). Went back to Tapachula & got a room. It rained a little in the afternoon but not enough to keep the road wet for salamanders in the evening. We drove back up the road around 20:30, and proceeded to a wet roadbank ~22km from MX200. Found a big Craugastor, a bunch of Rana, and heard E. rubrinascatus calling. Searched for ~1hr; then found a Batracian [illegible] on the road, which I accidentally hit and collected. It did not rain more later in the evening.
