Juno, Dear 2010 Journal Reserva Nuctandray San Ramon, Alajuela, Costa Rica (cnt...) June 13 ... Along the N fence line, we found 3 Craugastor fitzingeri + 1 C. lemansfordi, as well as 1 Hana warszewitschii. Also saw/heard a large number of parrots in trees in cattle pasture beyond reserve boundary. On the evening, starting at 17:30, we walked with Chico along the road N of the reserve. Picked up a DOR Micrurus nigrocinctus and a DOR M. maculatus ~300 m N of reserve entrance. Also found ~5 A. oxyophus on a rock wall above a small stream hole - they would jump into water when disturbed. Found 2 very small Marmosa in a tree/on grass next to road; smaller than other individuals I've seen. Continued on to Chico's house, ~0.5 km N of reserve entrance, and walked along a stream on his property. Found a E. prosolepan female on a leaf over the water. Found a Bufo coniferus ~2.5 m up in a tree fern in a cattle pasture- d've never seen an arboreal toad before. Heard, but didn't see, a frog making a chk-chk-chk-chk-chk sound; saw several C. fitzingeri + C. lemansfordi, as well as 2 C. crassidigitus. Returned to the reserve and prepared most of the remaining specimens. June 14 We prepared specimens in the morning and then spent ~30 min raking through a compost pile and looking under logs near the parking lot found nothing. Then found 1 gecko (Hoplodactylus xanthostigma) and a gymnothyrid (Ptychophorus spicatus) under a cover object in the area. Chico brought us a DOR Micrurus, a juvenile Litoria maculata, and an incredibly elongate Oedipina from the house of someone
