Honto, Jean 2010 Journal Ascleadero, near Carrizal de Bravo's, Aguas Madre del Sur, Guerrero, Mexico April 24 Last night, drove to Ciguales/Cynthia Mendoza + Saul Lopez. Woke up today, and drove to Carrizal de Bravo's, where we got permission from Jose Bettrán, the owner of the land at Ascleadero, to work there. We drove there and searched in logs from - . It appeared not to have rained for a while, and everything was quite dry except inside + under logs. I quickly got a Thrius multivittis under look, and then found 13 more inside logs. Cynthia and Saul each got 1 more but Saul's escaped. We also got a Graugaster under a log and saw several Batrisia and many Xolopesus. The habitat here is a fairly wet- looking pine-oak forest with some bromeliads and cloud forest elements. It is somewhat disturbed but still in decent shape. We then drove on and attempted to go to Copr Jettape, but turned back when we found out how far it was. Searched from 16:50 - 17:50 at Ascleadero and then drove to Taxco, where we spent the night. I will have to return to these sites during the rainy season.
