Area around Santa Cruz del Quiche, Depto. El Quiche, Guatemala (cont.)
we stopped for 40 min and searched in a pine forest with many excellent stumps and logs, but found nothing (15.13317°N,

near Santa Xhoyinup and found 1 Plectrohyla in ~10min of
searching in the roadbank. We drove back to Santa Cruz, had
dinner and returned to the spot where Carlos found the Zilon, but
it was late and we didn't get anything more.
Total for day: 1 Phadina

"Avil Ridge", high point on Panamericana, Depto. Joticaapan, Guatemala
We left Quiche and drove to the high area of CA-1 between los
Encuentros and Cuatro Caminos to find B. rustiata and P. rex. We
first searched near a town called Nueva Santa Catarina cltahucan, but
most of the land was being used to grow corn, and we only found
2 Miesopsis and 1 Sceloporus in ~15min searching. We continued on CA-1
toward Xela, and went south on a road 1.6km from Nueva Santa
Catarina cltahucan. We searched in great bunchgrass habitat with
many good rocks 0.6km from CA-1 on this road from ~12:10-12:55
but found only 1 Sceloporus, 1 Burps and 1 Miesopsis. Fed then found
2 small B. minor under rocks right along the road. This area looked
perfect for B. rustiata. We continued on and stopped 3.5km from CA-1
