Harits, Sean 2005 journal June 28 Side canyon of Convict Creek at washed-out bridge, Chys National Forest, Mono Co., CA (cont.) cl went back to the site at 9PM once it was dark. cl caught five more salamanders, mostly in a spot at the end of the habitat cl checked that has cracks in the limestone canyon wall with water dripping out. cl couldn't get 3 sluffs cl found here since they escaped into the cracks. cl also couldn't catch one adult at a spot downstream since it crawled under a large rock. cl got mouth swabs and photos for the 5 additional salamanders. cl then let all of the salamanders go that cl had caught. Swarf ID Age class Sex CC12 juvenile (large) CC13 subadult CC14 adult female CC15 adult male CC16 adult male - very big cl flash-froze all swabs at 10AM the next morning with liquid nitrogen.
