I prepared specimens while Chris collected several interesting lizards including two Kantusia and I helped with a Fumecea. We then left towards the town of Tehachapi. 9 June Water Canyon, 2 mi N. Teh. Mtn Park on Water Canyon Rd. Tehachapi Kern Co. We arrived and searched in several areas for Fuscipes habitat. Once out of town towards the south, elevation rises so quickly that there is really a narrow area of available habitat for these oak-associated animals. We set traps on a west-facing slope along Water Canyon Rd. This is the
