Machia 1968 Arenaria interpres June Saw 1 bird on the exposed portion of the Beach Ridge. Dave Norton reports that the birds are fairly common in the area - he collected 4 of them at the Dump. 15 June Summary to date - turnstones are as common as I have seen them. there are many nests to be found, but we have made no real effort to do so. 26 June A 4-egg nest just WEST of line III B, ca. Stake 4.2 or so. there is at least one more nest nearby. 27 June Weighed the above eggs, although I don't think they are too fresh: 14.3g, 14.4g, 14.5g, 14.1g.
