MacLean 1966 A. interprets combined to chase two passing long-tailed jaegers, and a bird from nest #1 was at one time closer to nest #2 than either of pair #2, however twice territorial boundaries were enforced with brief chases. this bears further watching. 15 June On village ridge - a α reacted to Paul and I as if a nest was nearby. Never saw the φ. 16 June to 19 June Birds at Mide River are mainly associated with village dump. Do not merit close observation. 20 June Pair around Cake eater site range over wide area - would not reveal location of nest. Another pair seen on South side of Voth Creek. 21 June Again saw pair South of Voth Creek. Nest is on West side of road, although birds use East side of road to feed. Feeding in wet marshy stuff. 22 June High population is limited to immediate coastal area. Birds were few and far between at latitude of Ikroavik and South. 24 June Checked Elson Lagoon nests - all O.K.. No sign of others, as
