Mackea 1964 Arrenaria interpres 15 June Bird by pair age in Drum area. Attacked passing pair long-tailed jaegers. 20 June Abundant around periphery of "Holmes' Marshes" - ca. 3 pr. S of Brent Point, 2 pr. in polygons W. of Brent Point, May be more. 4 birds S. of Point seem to lack territoriality; 1 moved from one end of group to other without causing aggression, etc. Observed 2 pr. in polygons W. of Brent Point. 21 June 3 July Bird collected in polygonal marsh near gasoline (Mackea 251). 6 July 2 birds flying with flock of 18 (♂) white-rumps. Flock observed c.a. 20 min.- species remained associated throughout period. Both seemed to seek association - i.e. Turnstones landed if white-rumps went down; vice versa. 1 collected (Mackean - ). 10 July 2 birds with flock of ca. 18 golden Plovers near stake 14 of Pitelka's Plot. 19 July 1 adult with 4 chicks - looked very young - near O end of trapline VIII.
