Phalaropus fulicarius
9 June
Suddenly - like every thing else -
they are here and active. Mostly
flying about in small flocks and
mixed with other species.
10 June
About the same. Most of the
funora's not nearly ready for
these.
11 June
they are moving in in some abundance.
Had no trouble collecting 6 for Tom Case
or flooded area just South of F.A.A.
16 June
they have become quite abundant.
I look for a goose breeding year. they
are moving out in pairs onto the
newly available melt ponds. Saw
one large pond with 16 birds on it,
flying out and back in pairs.
