Maclean 1967 Limnodromus scolopaceus [20 August] from a flock of 6 - 8/1831. 21 August In the morning - a flock of ca. 8 encountered by traplines IV A-B. Others heard and seen flying in the afternoon. In the afternoon - collected a ♂ and a ♀ from a flock of 15 birds in a pool S. of Smith puk. Nearly identical in weight - both light for - but ♀ has much longer bill. Others seen in Holmes' Marsh - flock of 20 feeding in and by a pool - and in Central Marsh, the majority of birds are in pools away from the marsh. 22 August Birds were very dense around ponds near traplines III A-B. Took a pile of feeding observations and collected 1 bird - 8/1838. Birds were in flocks of up to ca. 18; after red-backs, the most common species.
