in Micro Mer Marsh ca. 200 m. WNW of

Later failed to find any on the
bluffs and high area between Barrow
and Nunivue Slough.
20 June
Saw 1 bird Displaying from the
road to Barrow, just W. of the
Navy communications wagon.
21 June
Saw none on P's census plot.
On Gasoline Ridge (ca. 2200) found the
peg-leg O7 from Micro-Mer (8 19 June)
feeding there, but apparently unsettled.
No others in the area.
22 June
Spent most of the evening
photographing a O7 in the Drum area.
This was the "central O7" of FAP's
notes. Display was limited to a small
area but occasionally it made wide
flights over large areas to the West
and SE, but always returned after
a few minutes. Display involved much
wing waving - Directed toward other
birds when they were in sight, and
twice conspicuously Directed toward me.
Also gave 4 display accompanied by
tick-tick... note. got good (I hope)
pictures of this force and a lot, as
