Maclean 1967 Tryngites subruficollis 17 June Saw 2 birds flying about from lawn of Nate and Bonnie Nealeak's house in Barrow. Pitelka reports that many birds have moved into the area in the past two days - not like '64, but still a good number of birds with good activity. 18 June Spent the day in the polygonized upland area East of Footprint Lake. There a number of scattered individuals were encountered feeding. Probably A different birds were seen. One of these did some wing-waving, but no other display. 19 June 3 birds on Polygon North of Micro-Mer. 1 displaying o^ was giving arm-pit display and twice rose into an H. Display was consistently directed toward the west, but no other buffy could be seen. 2 others - presumes FF - fed quietly around the mound on which the o^ stood. Finally the FF came together and stood quietly in a polygon trough and the o^ came down and stood quietly on a slight mound above them. o^ has only 1 functional leg. 2 other buffies were feeding
