MacLean 1966 P. dominica 24 June Birds appear to be still arriving and settling. So will be interesting to follow hatching dates. Saw a pair copulating East of CRRRL wanigan. No evident preliminaries - just walked over from ca. 2 m. away, hopped on, immediate contact, remained <10sec, then flew 20m. away. ♀ resumed feeding, but remained in forward, lunched posture for the 15 additional minutes I watched these birds. On Pitelka's plot - saw 2 birds in good plumage together. One flew into display, other flew to East edge of plot, about stake 14, and joined 2 others also in good plumage. Looked like 4 recent arrivals. 25 June Pair in South Voth Area - both in good plumage - no sign of incubation yet. 27 June There are 3 pairs (or that many birds) in polygons between family lagoon and micro-meter. Mike found one of the nests. Population of these birds made a marked late increase, and they are now normal or better. Darrell Weaver pointed out a
