Maclean 1967 C. melanotos 10 August Hears 2 birds fly over tanglefoot II, but saw not a one. Day was quiet for all shorebirds. 14 August Walked carefully through Holmes' Marsh and saw none. The same number in and around Central Marsh on the way in. 15 August On trip into Skroovik - small groups were common along pond margins and flooded wessel tracks. Mostly in groups of 4-6. 16 August Again small groups scattered along Voth road - fewer than yesterday, but only went ca. 1/2 km. South of Family Creek ford. Collected 1 bird feeding on exposed pond bottom near flock of alpina. 17 August Saw none on trip around the tanglefoots. 18 August In region of traplines III A-B - scattered birds as individuals or small groups. Collected 1 - 19 August Birds very frequent and dispersed over the turna in a long walk from camp to Browerville. Again no large concentrations, but many birds in the area. 20 August No major changes - went to area So. of FAA. Found dispersed birds and a loose flock of ca. 16. Collected 2 birds from this -
