Maclaur 1966 C. melanostris 25 June Not a bird in Drum area. In aacs marsh saw 2 PP feeding Together. One was bothered by hyper-aggressive O7 Sandering. Continued together without sign of O7 for 20 minutes - obviously not nesting. In the afternoon saw probably the same 2PP 150 m. SE of about spot sleeping in grass. Would like to collect a few of these to see if their gonads are as far down as their behavior. In the evening went out to do just that without much success. Saw 2 O7 O7 just S. of Voth Creek, one of which even booted twice, but could not find any more along Gasline Road to footprint lakes, then in good marsh East of lake, then up lake bed. Discouraging. Back by Voth Creek classes are - probably one of those seen earlier - unsuccessfully. 26 June Drove same route as last night. No birds seen in walking West of Road near Footprint lake. Finally found a lone O7 on Terrace of lake East of road. He flew over marsh to East. Following him and next found him sitting quietly
