Collected 1 - not seen displaying: SN # 1041. 17 June a number of 867 displaying and chasing in groups in the Drum area - they act like unpaired birds. Others are paired and probably laying. 1 bird kept sitting in an empty nest cup. There our number puvilla in the Drum area ca. 4:1. 19 June found 2 4-egg nests today - 1 in the Slo village cemetery, 20 m. North of the grave of Sam Hopson (1903-1927); 1 south of South Salt lagoon. there are others To be found there. 20 June A rare find: Tom Schwann found a 1-egg nest just west of the gasoline, west of Gasoline Rippe. there is another pair c.a. 100 m. west of these. a 3-egg nest by stake III 9.2 of line III B, found last night, still has 3 eggs. Tom Schwann found 2 3-egg nests in the Drum Area, wot pole 8 and east of pole 12 (20 m. south of where bird was in empty cup on 17 June). 21 June the 1-egg nest is empty; the III-B nest is still 3 eggs, and probably done. Went into Drum Area - both nests now
