Maclean 1966 C. baardi other pairs. Looks like that late influx really has an effect. 27 June One bird feeding on high polygonal grounds NW of micro-mes. May be w/ nest. Later - by jove - it is. Daniel Weaver stumbled upon a 1 egg nest 100 m. West of Micro-Mer wanigan. Went to check it and found a 2 egg nest 40 m. PE of that one. We now have a total of 12 nests - more than any other species. gooo. Hope I can fill in the data on this species. 29 June Plenty of upland habitat South- West of village, but birds were infrequently seen. Birds seen were quieter and acted nesting; others could very well have been overlooked. 1 July Didn't raise a single bird on and around Village Ridge. they must be there, but inconspicuous. 3 July Saw a pair - or 2 birds - both Evident and in no apparent hurry to get back on a nest - near SE corner of Holmes' Marass. A single bird West of this acted nesting. Should check this area again. 5 July Found nest # 23 ca. 70 m.SW
