C. fuscicollis
marsh very high - all very close together
and all displaying. Continues for at
least 200 m. until ground obscured,
then saw one veer off toward South,
other two continue on to East.
4 July
Saw very similar behavior in same
area. Three birds very high, W-E, with
much display heard. At least 2 and
probably three uses V-wing hover ☺
Joined by another bird which also uses
hover. Split up somewhat just as they
disappeared - could not tell how. Could
be beginning of association of ♂♂ preparatory
to migration. Birds are obviously not
terrestrial strongly, but display indicates
sexual activity too great for flocking.
