Maclean 1964 C. fusci collis 6 June poing, retain Zzzzee. Gives fishing reel-like sounds. Flock made no grounds display to ? off nest, as frequently seen before. Feeding members of flock chased by ? pectoral, bairds. Forgot to mention - 1 of flock of 18 near corner of beach ridge gave grounds display to another bird - can't be sure of status of either. 8 July Nest check: Nests #4, 8, 11, 14 all vacated, presumed hatched. No chicks or distracting adults seen, but didn't look overly hard. Other nests still incubating - all sitting tight. 9 July Nest #7 - 2 out of egg. Still wet. Flock of 5 or 6 - near gasoline cans, ca. 250 yds. S. of micro-met. 10 July Nest #7 - all out, ca. 10:30 A.M. - 35 yds from nest cup, being brooded. Ca. 5:30 P.M.- ca. 120 yds. from nest. Group of 4 birds on ridge. Flew over to ? #5 when she left nest, but no display or other interaction between birds. Nest #5 - 2 in, 2 out. 11 July Nest #5 - all out of egg, in nest cup. Ran when ? flushed. Nest #12 (first to hatch) - ? with 3 chicks (I took 4th at time of hatching)
