(6 June) Tundra on SW extension of Gasline
Ridge. As before - the display was
given in short bursts involving a
quick flight at a relatively low height.
17 June Saw 2 birds displaying on south
side of Gasline Ridge. Based on what
I have seen this year, this species lacks
a sustained display flight but is like
fuscicollis in making short, relatively
low display flights.
20 June Today there were at least 5 birds
involved in a burst of display activity
at the same spot. I am sure that
there are eggs to be found. Did not stay
to sort out the activity.
25 June Norton found a 4-egg nest by the
Cake-eater site, so breeding is confirmed.
