Laelean 1967 Caloris mauri 21 June Heard a burst of display in Central Marsh, but did not see the bird. 22 June Heard it again in drum area, near gasoline. 24 June Heard a strange note in 5 area; then saw 2 small birds w/ reddish backs fly by. Maybe I'm trying too hard, but it could have been. 10-13 July Only 1 definite sighting as Meade River - 2 birds flew over over the river as we were going [illegible] stream in the boat.
