C. pusillus
[10 June] Micro Msr.
P.M. - Two displaying ♂♂ by N. end
of Britton's Area. Watched 1 bird feed
♂ of F.A.A. in flooser low polygon region.
11 June
two well separated pairs along
Browerville Ridge - 1 ♂ displaying near
old Charlie's grave, another ca. 400m.
further East.
12 June
Activity was up again in the Drum
Area. Karl found several nests and
watched long enough to sort things out - see
his notes for detail.
Checked Village Ridge and Cake-Eater
areas in the afternoon - absolutely zero!
13 June
None near Lewellyn's wire, in an
area that often supports semi-pale. In
the evening, just S. of F.A.A., watched
a burst of activity involving at least
two pairs. ♂ chased off another ♂, then
gave ground display to ♀ and rose to give
aerial display. Birds were in flooser low
polygon area.
14 June
Watched a chase of 3 birds, followed
by 2 ♂♂ in aerial display, over Browerville
Ridge. There are several pairs scattered
along this ridge. The activity was probably
initiated by 1 or more unsettled intruder.
