Maclean 1966 C. pusillus (2) paired ♂ tolerated the other so close. Other came in and attempted copulation with no noticeable prelude. ♀ appeared receptive, but affair was cut off by paired ♂. Only a short chase, then both ♂♂ settled on snow ca. 40-50ft. apart, w/ ♀ feeding along snow bank. Resident ♂ approached ♀ in ground display - tail cocked, body forward [illegible]. Interrupted by other ♂ - another short chase. Collected ♀ : she had just completed the clutch. She has been feeding steadily, but nothing of value in the stomach. This, plus tolerance of other ♂ suggests that the birds are hunting for food again
