C. pusillus
25 June
Same - abundant and consistent
from drum area to micro-ner. Display
leans there and by corner of Beach
Ridge.
1 July
Found nest w/ 4 eggs ca. 50 m
S. of Jamesway Hut as end of Drum
area. Another pair by fork in gasline
to Pow site refused to divulge location
of nest. Smart - - birds.
2 July
Checked for nest of stubborn pair -
could flush no birds in area. Could
have been from nest ca. 100 m. away.
4 July
Found nest w/ 4 eggs ca. 150 m. W of
C + GS, on E edge of drainage cut across
Beach Ridge.
7 July
Ca. 4 birds feeding along edge of upper
Voth Creek - obviously non-breeding. Collected
observations, but no birds.
We now have a total of 21 nests.
Paul is working diligently and well on these.
They are definitely more numerous than
last year - quite abundant in local
collections, but scattered over suitable
dry resting sites.
