Calidris canutus Maclion 1968 9 June Saw a single biro - my guess is a ♀ - on the lagoon at the junction of Gaswell and Main Road. Biro was fairly tame - Tom & I got photographs. 15 June A pair on the ground as we did trapline IIIA snow and habitat transect. About 1 hr. later, as we went IIIA, heard a knot in the air and saw 4 birds of knot size flying South high over Voth area, one calling persistently. 17 June Again heard knots by IIIA, but was too busy to stop and search. 25 June Ca. 6 knots in a flock w/ ca. 20 golden plovers and 15 pectorals in Central Marsh, West of Pitello's Plot. They were right out in the wet stuff.
