So.... (1) Can give display notes from ground.
(2) w-r note given in heterospecific
aggressive context.
(3) w-r note can be given w/out
baird note.
(4) no sign of another bird. this bird
probably not paired. :: pairing
probably occurs on breeding ground.
(5) In display covered 2 sides of an
equilaterral A of arms 1/4 mile.
In feeding this bird looked very calidorine,
not charadriid. Also note that bird has
narrow face and small eyes of calidorine.
Another bird was heard in the same general
area.

0850 - bird displaying over area No. 3
Steeze at Eagle Summit. Long
soaring glide, even tho no wind. Landed
1/2 way up East face of hill No. 4.
0855 Located bird - doing nothing. Preened.
0904 Gave full display note sequence from
ground.
0905 Flew - gave new flight note - single
syllable - med. pitch - repeated ca.6
times in 3 sec. Did not go on to
display.
The soaring of these birds is very impressive.
Because of the dark wing tips the bird
