Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui, Panama 7 May 2002 I mistnetted for the unbanded RC female of J-5 in CAS, with Clint, in the morning. Clint was stung by one of the large red wasps and suffered from it for the rest of the day. At lunchtime, we packed up and went to Boca Chica to start walking to Horcencito. It's the first day of my annual vacation!(We didn't catch the unbRC, and I decided to try for her when I got back). We walked about 1/4 of the distance to Horcencito before Carlos ("Gambutte") picked us up in his taxi for $1.50 each. Before that happened I whistled in along the road an unbanded DM by immitating a pip flight. I heard him doing a mangled-sounding QR in a caprada off to the right (as you walk away from Boca Chica). It's the same place where I heard manakin with Eric last year: a cattle farm with a small house near the caprada. In David, we stayed at the Hotel Toledo ($18) and went to the movies.
